Bathroom Remodeler Serving New Bern, NC

New Bern homeowners searching for a dependable bathroom remodeler get one straight answer here: Creative Spaces handles every project personally, from the first walk-through to the final fixture. Scott and Chris don't hand your job to a subcontractor once the contract is signed. That's not how we work. With 5 stars across every Google review we've received, the track record is consistent, and the standard doesn't drop project to project. If your bathroom needs a full gut-and-rebuild or your kitchen has been on the list for too long, reach out and we'll schedule a free in-home estimate.

We work throughout the New Bern area and the broader Craven County communities surrounding it, including Trent Woods, Taberna, Carolina Colours, Neuse Harbor, and Greenbrier. Older home stock in this region tends to carry the same patterns: cramped shower-tub combos that haven't been touched in twenty years, kitchen layouts that predate modern workflow, vanities that are barely holding together. We know what to look for because we've worked on these homes. Scott's eye for design and Chris's construction background give you both sides of the equation in one conversation, not a sales pitch, a real assessment of what your space can become.

What Scott and Chris Actually Do On Every Job

No project managers in the middle. No handoffs. The people you meet are the people who build.

Most remodeling contractors in this market sell the job, then send someone else to do it. We don't operate that way. Scott and Chris are on every project in New Bern from demo through final inspection. That means the attention to detail you see in our reviews isn't tied to one good crew on a good day. It's built into how we run every single job. Bob Moreno put it plainly after his kitchen remodel: Scott makes sure the work meets his own standard, not just the customer's. That's the difference between a contractor who moves fast and one who moves right.

They did a full kitchen remodel for us. We have never worked with a company this great. Scott and Chris actually showed up every day around 8:00am. Very short morning coffee breaks and barely a half hour for lunch. Their attention to detail was unbelievable. Great work ethic which is rare in today's world. The outcome of the job was well worth what we paid. They were an absolute pleasure to work with and most of all our German Shepherd loved them. We highly recommend doing business with them, you won't be disappointed.

What Drives the Cost of a Remodel in New Bern

Homeowners in New Bern ask about cost before almost anything else, and that's a fair question to lead with. Honestly, the range on a bathroom or kitchen remodel is wide enough that any number we published here would be more misleading than useful. What actually drives your final cost: the size of the space, its current condition, the materials you choose, whether the layout changes, what the plumbing and electrical need, and the finish level you're after. A tub-to-shower conversion in a guest bath lands in a very different place than a full master bath gut job with custom tile and a frameless glass enclosure. We don't publish ranges because we've seen too many homeowners anchor to a figure that had nothing to do with their actual project. Every job is different. Contact Creative Spaces for an accurate estimate.

Frequently asked questions

Does Creative Spaces take on bathroom remodeling projects in New Bern, NC?

Yes. New Bern falls within our regular service area in Craven County. Scott and Chris handle the project personally from estimate through completion, which means no handoffs and no subcontractors showing up on your job site. If you're in New Bern and want a clear picture of what your bathroom renovation would involve, a free in-home estimate is the right first step. Contact Creative Spaces to schedule one.

How long does a bathroom remodel typically take for a New Bern home?

Timeline depends heavily on the scope. A targeted upgrade like a vanity replacement or tub-to-shower conversion moves faster than a full gut-and-rebuild. Older homes in the New Bern area sometimes carry surprises behind the walls, and we'd rather account for those upfront in our planning than scramble mid-project. Scott and Chris walk through timeline expectations at the estimate stage so you have a realistic picture before any work starts. Every job is different. Contact Creative Spaces for an accurate estimate.

Can Creative Spaces handle both the bathroom and kitchen remodel in my New Bern home at the same time?

We can, and for many New Bern homeowners it makes practical sense to sequence or combine projects rather than hire separate contractors. Scott and Chris cover bathroom remodeling, kitchen remodeling, and tile installation under one roof. One contractor, one point of contact, and a consistent standard across both jobs. We'll talk through the logistics during your estimate to figure out the sequencing that works best for your household.

What tile options work best for walk-in showers in New Bern homes?

The honest answer: it depends on your budget, the size of the shower, and the look you want. Large-format tile makes a smaller shower feel bigger. Subway tile is durable and easier to keep clean than grout-heavy patterns. Natural stone reads well in higher-end finishes but requires sealing and more care. Scott has an eye for what works in a specific space, and he'll walk you through material options at the design stage rather than pushing one default. We cover the full range of tile installation options for New Bern bathrooms.

How does the estimate process work for a New Bern kitchen or bathroom remodel?

Scott and Chris come to your New Bern home, walk the space with you, and give you a contractor's read on what the project actually involves. You'll leave with clear notes on scope, a realistic sense of timeline, and for projects where it helps, draft renderings that show you what the reimagined space could look like. The estimate itself is free. There's no pressure and no obligation. We'd rather you go into a remodeling decision with complete information than rush into a contract.
