What Creative Spaces Builds and Installs

Most remodeling contractors hand off the design to one company and the build to another. We don't work that way. Creative Spaces handles every service we offer in-house, from the first 3D visualization rendering to the final fixture installation. That means no subcontractors on your project, no hand-offs mid-job, and no surprises when the bill arrives. Our bathroom remodeling, kitchen design, tiled shower installation, and tile installation services are all performed by the same team that sits down with you at the start. If you want to see what that looks like in practice, take a look at our project gallery and then give us a call.

The scope of what we build ranges from targeted kitchen upgrades like countertop replacement and cabinet installation to full gut-and-rebuild renovations where we move walls, relocate plumbing, and redesign the entire layout from scratch. What drives cost on any job is scope, materials, and site conditions. A straightforward tub to shower conversion is a different conversation than a full primary bathroom remodel with a frameless glass walk-in shower, dual vanities, and custom tile work throughout. Both are projects we do regularly. Every job is different, contact Creative Spaces for an accurate estimate.

Our Services

Everything We Build Under One Roof

These are the services Creative Spaces delivers directly, with no trades handed off to outside contractors.

01

Bathroom Remodeling

Full bathroom renovations from layout changes to finish selection. We handle demo, plumbing, tile, vanities, fixtures, and lighting so you're working with one contractor through the entire project.

02

Walk-In Tiled Showers

Custom walk-in shower design and installation using field tile, mosaic accents, linear drains, and frameless glass enclosures. Every shower is built to spec, not pulled from a catalog.

03

Kitchen Remodeling

Full design-build kitchen renovations that reshape layout, cabinetry, countertops, and plumbing from the studs out. We provide 3D visualization renderings so you can see the finished space before we build it.

04

Kitchen Upgrades

Not every kitchen needs a full gut job. Cabinet refacing, quartz or granite countertop replacement, tile backsplash installation, and lighting upgrades can transform a dated kitchen without the cost of a full remodel.

05

Plumbing Fixture Installation

Vanity replacements and fixture upgrades handled as part of a remodel or as a standalone service. We don't call a separate plumber, we handle it ourselves.

The Kitchen Services We Offer in Detail

  1. 01

    Cabinet Replacement

We install custom and semi-custom cabinetry sized to your actual kitchen, not the nearest big-box standard dimension. The difference shows up in every corner, every drawer pull, and every inch of storage you gain.

  2. 02

    Countertops and Backsplash

Quartz and granite countertop installation paired with tile backsplash work are among the highest-impact upgrades in any kitchen. We select materials together with you and install them as a coordinated design, not two separate jobs.

  3. 03

    Layout and Lighting

Moving an island, opening a wall, or relocating the sink changes how a kitchen actually feels to cook in. We handle layout refinements alongside lighting upgrades so the functionality and the atmosphere improve together.

  4. 04

    Design Visualization

Before anything is ordered or demolished, we build a 3D rendering of your finished kitchen. You approve what you see before we start. That's not a common offer from a small remodeling contractor, and it's one of the reasons our clients don't get surprises.

A Design-Build Process That Removes the Guesswork

kitchen remodeling work, professional service in New Bern, NC
The problem with hiring a designer and a contractor separately is simple: they're not accountable to each other. When the tile layout doesn't align with the cabinet depth, someone points at someone else. We eliminated that problem by doing both. From the first conversation about layout to the day we finish the grout joints, the same team is responsible for every decision. Homeowners who've watched us work describe the process as meticulous. That's not an accident. Every project gets our full attention from framing to finish, and we won't sign off on work we wouldn't put in our own home. Rated 5 stars across all five of our Google reviews, and every one of those reviews mentions the same thing: the detail work. We'll bring that same standard to your project.

How a Project With Creative Spaces Actually Works

  1. 01

    In-Home Consultation

We start at your home, not over email. We look at the existing space, talk through what you want to change, and give you a straight answer about what's realistic within your scope and timeline.

  2. 02

    Design and Visualization

We build a 3D rendering of the finished project before any work begins. You see the layout, the materials, and the finish choices together as a complete design. Changes happen on screen, not after demo.

  3. 03

    Build and Installation

We handle every trade involved in your project ourselves. No subcontractors. The person you approved the design with is the person on the job site. We keep you updated throughout and we don't leave a project unfinished.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between a kitchen upgrade and a full kitchen remodel?
A kitchen upgrade targets specific components: swapping countertops, installing new cabinet doors, adding a tile backsplash, or updating fixtures and lighting. A full remodel goes to the studs. We're talking about moving walls, relocating plumbing, reconfiguring the layout, and replacing everything. Both are projects we handle. The right call depends on your budget and how much of the existing kitchen is worth keeping.
Do you handle the plumbing and electrical work on a bathroom or kitchen remodel, or do you bring in subcontractors?
We handle plumbing fixture installation and coordination of trades in-house wherever possible. We do not use subcontractors the way most remodelers do. The team that designs your project is the team that builds it. For licensed electrical or permitted plumbing work that requires a separate license, we coordinate those trades directly and manage the schedule, so you're not making calls to three different companies.
How long does a tiled walk-in shower installation typically take?
A standalone walk-in shower conversion or installation generally runs one to two weeks, depending on the size of the shower, the complexity of the tile pattern, and whether any plumbing needs to be relocated. A full bathroom remodel that includes the shower as one component will take longer. We give you a realistic timeline at the start and we don't rush the tile work. Setting and grouting done too fast fails early.
What tile materials and shower systems do you work with?
We work with porcelain, ceramic, natural stone, and glass tile depending on the design and the application. For shower floors, we recommend textured or matte-finish tile rather than polished stone, which gets slippery when wet regardless of how it looks in a showroom. We discuss substrate systems, waterproofing membranes, and linear versus center drain options with every client before any tile is selected.
Can I see what my finished kitchen or bathroom will look like before the project starts?
Yes. We build 3D visualization renderings for every project before work begins. You see the layout, the cabinet configuration, the countertop material, and the finish selections as a complete picture. If something doesn't look right, we adjust it on screen. Nothing gets ordered or demoed until you've approved the design. That's a standard part of how we work, not an add-on.
Do you offer tub to shower conversions, or only new shower installations?
We do both. A tub to shower conversion involves removing an existing tub, modifying the drain location if needed, waterproofing the new shower floor and walls, and building out the shower with tile, glass, and fixtures. It's one of the more common requests we get from homeowners who want to make better use of the space and don't use the tub regularly. We can show you what the finished shower would look like before we start.
What should I look for when hiring a remodeling contractor for a kitchen or bathroom project?
Honestly, the most important questions are about who's actually doing the work. Ask whether they subcontract. Ask to see completed projects, not just renderings. Ask whether they carry their own liability insurance and a current contractor license. A contractor who won't answer those questions directly is telling you something. We're happy to walk through all of it on your first call.
