Bathroom Remodeling Rooted in New Bern

If you're searching for a bathroom remodeler in New Bern, the most important thing to know upfront is who actually shows up to your home. At Creative Spaces, that answer is simple: Scott and Chris. No subcontractors, no handoffs, and no surprises. Every bathroom renovation we take on is managed and built by the same two people you spoke with on the phone. We carry a 5-star rating across all Google reviews, and that consistency is no accident. Call us to schedule a no-pressure in-home estimate.

We serve New Bern and the surrounding Craven County communities including Taberna, Carolina Colours, Neuse Harbor, Trent Woods, and Greenbrier. Many of the homes in these neighborhoods were built decades ago, and the bathrooms show it. Outdated fixtures, cramped layouts, and aging tile are exactly the kind of work we do every week. We know these neighborhoods, and we know what it takes to work carefully inside occupied homes. Before a single contract is signed, we provide a detailed scope of services, a project timeline, and accurate pricing in writing.

Every Detail, Every Time

Luxurious bathroom remodel with freestanding soaker tub and custom walk-in shower by Creative Spaces New Bern

Meticulous isn't a word we use lightly. It's what our clients actually say about the work.

Bob Moreno put it plainly after his kitchen project: Scott's attention to detail is exceptional and he makes sure the job is done to not only the customer's satisfaction, but also his. That standard doesn't change from one project to the next. We keep our project load intentionally small so that every New Bern homeowner we work with gets our full attention. We won't take on more than we can build well. Some contractors fill their schedule and let quality slide. We don't work that way. If a detail isn't right, we address it before we leave.

Our Process

How a Bathroom Remodel Works With Us

We don't start swinging a hammer until everything is agreed to in writing. That's not a formality. It protects you and it protects the project.

  1. 01

    In-Home Estimate

Scott meets you at your New Bern home, assesses the space, and listens to what you actually want. No pressure, no pitch.

  2. 02

    Written Scope and Pricing

Before you sign anything, you get a detailed written scope of work, a project timeline, and a firm price. Nothing is vague.

  3. 03

    Built by Scott and Chris

We build your bathroom ourselves. You know who's in your home. You can reach us directly. That's how it works, every time.

03

Accessibility Features

Grab bars, barrier-free entry, slip-resistant flooring, and walk-in shower access for aging-in-place renovations.

04

Lighting and Vanity

Vanity lighting, recessed fixtures, and mirror placement that changes how the whole room feels.

Frequently asked questions

What parts of New Bern do you serve for bathroom remodeling?
We serve New Bern and the surrounding Craven County communities including Taberna, Carolina Colours, Neuse Harbor, Trent Woods, Greenbrier, River Bend, Brices Creek, and more. If you're in the New Bern area and you're not sure we cover your neighborhood, call us directly and we'll confirm. We're a local operation, not a regional franchise routing calls through a dispatch center.
Do you handle tub-to-shower conversions in New Bern older homes?
Yes, and it's one of the more common requests we get in New Bern neighborhoods where homes were built in the 1980s and 1990s. Older bathrooms often have single-tub configurations that don't fit how homeowners actually use the space today. We remove the tub, address whatever's underneath (subfloor, plumbing, walls), and build a walk-in shower designed around your preferences. Everything is scoped in writing before we begin. Every job is different. Contact Creative Spaces for an accurate estimate.
Who actually does the work when I hire Creative Spaces in New Bern?
Scott and Chris do. That's not a marketing line. We don't subcontract any of our work, which means the people who meet you for the estimate are the people who build your bathroom. For New Bern homeowners who've dealt with contractors that hand off work to unfamiliar crews, this is a meaningful difference. You have direct access to the people building your home throughout the entire project.
What does a bathroom remodel cost in New Bern, NC?
Bathroom remodel costs in New Bern vary based on scope, existing conditions, material selections, and whether the layout is changing. A simple fixture and vanity upgrade is a different budget conversation than a full walk-in tiled shower build with a new layout. We don't publish ranges because a number that's right for one New Bern home is misleading for another. What we do provide is a detailed written estimate with firm pricing before you sign anything. Every job is different. Contact Creative Spaces for an accurate estimate.
Can you remodel a small bathroom in a New Bern home?
Absolutely. Many New Bern homes, particularly in neighborhoods built through the 1980s and 1990s, have secondary bathrooms with tight square footage. Small bathrooms reward careful design. A well-placed vanity, the right tile format, and a frameless glass shower enclosure can make a compact space feel intentional rather than cramped. We've written a full guide on small bathroom layout ideas that walks through what actually works in tight footprints.
